Golden Shores Condominiums was built in 1982, and refurbished bright and clean in 2008 with new colors. In 2013 the pool and spa were relined and upgraded, new fencing was installed, and new Florida-friendly landscaping was planted. In 2017 we replaced the roof and put the air conditioning units on proper stands and upgraded the boat docks. And we’ve been able to do all of that without an assessment, except for a very small one in 2007 to help pay for painting the building. The property is well managed and our reserves are fully funded.
Repainting of the building is scheduled for October and November 2018, and the full contract cost of concrete repairs and painting is covered by the Association Reserve funds!
We have 90 units, each with 2 large bedrooms, 2 baths, large living room/dining room combinations, fully equipped kitchens, and a balcony overlooking the inner courtyard with heated pool, hot tub, Intracoastal waterway, and our private docks. A reserved parking space for each unit is provided under the building with ample visitor parking in the adjoining lot. There is also a public laundry room for those units that don’t have their own washers and dryers.
The Community Room is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and a large screen TV. There are four beautiful tables, two folding long tables for meetings/events, numerous chairs, a large hutch for supplies, as well as a lending library overflowing with books.
We are a very friendly group of residents, and have weekly card games and regular social functions throughout the year.
Golden Shores Condominiums is located directly behind a one story office building on Gulf Boulevard in Indian Shores, with a pedestrian crossing and the Tiki Garden beach parking just to the North for easy access to the beach. Immediately to our South is the “Original Pizza and Italian Restaurant”, and there are a number of other excellent restaurants within a two mile radius. Tampa International Airport and the Tampa Cruise Port are only a 50 minute drive away.
